After another blissful stint in LA, I flew up to San Francisco (well, San Jose airport via Southwest Airlines, to be exact) to spend time with my older sis Michelle and her husband David. I've been up here a bunch of times over the past few years, but for some reason, SF never captured my heart. It was either too chilly, too hippie, or even too techie. (As for that last criticism, obviously I suffer from some degree of self-loathing given that I went to MIT.)
Well, I'm over my snobbery and have ended my silly refusal to fall in love with this city. I have to admit that the beauty of SF even rivals Sydney. In classic tourist fashion, this view of the Golden Gate Bridge--which I captured right before I crossed over on my rental mountain bike from
Blazing Saddles--had me at hello.

And speaking of views, check out the views of the city from Mount Tam, which Michelle and I hiked on Sunday. Two days later, my hamstrings and feet still feel broken, but it was totally worth it.
